CPC Online Training
CPC conducts training sessions for both MacCaption and CaptionMaker on a regular basis. The training sessions cover many topics from basic to advanced features of both software.

"Webinar" - Web Seminar
The WebEx software allows you to see the CPC presenter's computer screen and hear their voice in real time, as they present a lecture-style training session.
Click the link at the bottom of this page to register for the sessions. You can see all upcoming sessions at cpcweb.webex.com (click on "Upcoming"). The deadline for registration is 48 hours before the start of the session, but sessions may become full earlier as availability is limited.
A confirmation e-mail with your registration ID will be sent to the e-mail address you entered. Please make sure you'll have access to this e-mail on the lesson day, so that you have the info necessary to join the lesson. (i.e. do not register using someone else's e-mail address unless you will have access to this e-mail at the lesson start time.) Also, once you pay for a session, you cannot switch to a different session, so make sure you're registering for the right one.
We recommend you join a test session if you are unsure as to your ability to run WebEx on your computer or network. If you cannot join the scheduled test session, contact us at least 3 days prior to the actual training session, and we can perform a test for you. If you require special permission from your IT or networking department, please contact them at least a day in advance for permission and instructions for using WebEx.
Payment must be processed at the WebEx registration page for the session. All major credit cards are accepted. If your payment won't go through, or if you require a different payment method, please call us ASAP. Your registration will not be confirmed until the payment process is complete.
Cancellations will be accepted up until 48 hours before the start of the lesson. After that time, we cannot process refunds.
Joining the session
Approximately 5 minutes before the scheduled start of the session, click on the link in the confirmation e-mail (or visit our WebEx portal at cpcweb.webex.com ) to join the session. Software will be installed on your computer that allows you to participate in the session.
If you are experiencing technical difficulties during the session which prevent you from participating, please call WebEx Technical support at 866-569-3239 and one of their support technicians will try to help you. (For billing or other non-technical issues, please call CPC at 301-738-8487.) We will do everything possible to try to resolve your problem, but there may be unforeseeable technical difficulties.
Only the CPC presenter is allowed to speak and chat with the other attendees. There will be a Q & A session at the end of the class.
When joining, WebEx will ask you for your audio settings. You do not need a microphone, so you can skip the microphone setup (Just hit Next and/or OK until the setup is finished). As long as you can hear regular audio from your computer, you will be able to hear the CPC presenter's voice. Make sure you choose "Join VoIP Teleconference" when prompted, otherwise you will not get the audio.
Once the lesson switches to the main presentation, please click on the "Chat" icon in the WebEx control panel, which is probably in the lower right corner of your screen:
In the chat window, you can send and receive text messages from the CPC presenters. Please note that the host will be very busy running the class and may not be able to acknowledge your chat immediately. We ask that you hold your questions until the Q & A session unless you have an urgent question or comment about the topic currently under discussion.
